Blogging from the Mas

This past November, I took the TGV up to Paris.  This is becoming a yearly event.  Robin, Niko, and the children and I rented an apartment for 5 days close to the Opera. This afforded us the opportunity to shop, see the Christmas windows, eat at our favorite restaurant (Le Souffle) and see an exhibit or two.

When you travel with infants and toddlers, it is difficult to take in exhibits.  The kids have a mind of their own and the exhibit staff really hates it when small children run around.  So this exposition was perfect since it was small and when we visited, it wasn’t too crowded.

Paul Durand-Ruel lived between 1831 – 1922.  His father was an art dealer, and he  took over the family business in 1862.  During the 1860s and early 1870s he was an important advocate and successful art dealer of the Barbizon School. A few years later, he developed…
